August 9, 2008 : Are you ready to get Xtreme? Xtreme Horsepower takes place on track at Georgian Downs tonight at 7:25 p.m., and Trot Insider will have all the Xtreme recaps
Saturday's Xtreme Horsepower card, and fans will be treated to an X-tremely entertaining night of harness racing and fun-filled activities.
A pair of eliminations for the Xtreme Battle will kick things off. The boys will square off in Race 1 followed by the girls in Race 2. The top four finishers from each of the eliminations plus one fifth-place finisher will advance to the $20,000 co-ed final, which goes as Race 6.
Fans will be treated to the first of five 18-horse fields in Race 3 as a convoy of trotters will line-up in two-tiers behind the gate for the Xtreme Marathon. Drivers might have to pack a lunch for this 1-7/8 mile affair.
Speed, speed and more speed will be the name of the game in Races 4 and 5 as the Innisfil oval will became a drag strip for the eliminations of the Xtreme Sprint Classic. Starters will be open throttle right from the word "go" for this 3/8 mile tilt.
The top four finishers from each elim plus one fifth-place finisher will advance to the $20,000 final, which comes up later on the card as Race 8.
