Cliff mentioned in a post, that the trotters are hard to figure out? , a long ;D time ago i sat behind a trotter hooked to a jog cart ,on the back track of a raceway ,it was a older experienced Armbro trotter that had made many trips to the winners circle in his lifetime.Having always jogged pacers,i was looking forward to sitting behind the large n' powerful ARMBRO,little did i know that at 150 lbs(i now have added a few), in good health and regular length arms....i would experience my one and only runaway ride behind a trotter and my arms seemed to be a foot longer upon the horse finally stopping .Trotter's are special, you need esp as a bettor, special hands(and arms )lol ,thus the term....he's a trot man..........Cliff, trotters are beautfiul to watch in action.....and that is just what we should do WATCH THEM ! ;D

Last night, Prize Parable with Elliott Deaton, won the second race. This four year old mare trotter has always looked very strong and has always been very steady in gait. But she's also always had Doug Guptill in the bike. I had other things to do last night and did not look at the Northfield program too closely and missed the opportunity created by the switch to Deaton.
It's too bad that Elliott Deaton spends half the year at Hoosier and Indiana Downs. He livens up any horse he drives.
