Do you have any stats on horses ( closers-let's call them) who close from well back to end up finishing 2nd or 3rd in a race , then come back to win their next start ? Last night's 10th race -Dream Dragon, would be a good example.

Not specifically. Good efforts from the outside are an indication of form, obviously. What you really need to look at is the pace of the race, and whether or not the closer benefited from the race dynamics.
