Cliff only lost $300 in play money, or did he? ? Yup, $300 virtual cash, just $100 in real stuff...I never bet place or show in real life.

CLIFF, IF YOU DON'T MIND SHARING, WHAT DID YOU LIKE ABOUT THE #9. I LOOKED AT THE PROGRAM AND THERE WERE 2-3 OTHER HORSES I LIKED BETTER (#5 IN PARTICULAR) AND #2 IF HE HAD A DRIVER. WHAT MADE THE #9 STANDOUT THAT MUCH TO YOU?

What did I like about him? Well Mully, besides the fact he was taking a major drop in class, going from an undistinguished barn to one of the Northfield's best, and picking up one of North America's leading drivers, not much. Just kidding. I'm a numbers guy, and all the numbers, speed, pace, and class pointed to this one over matching this field. Also coming from one half mile track to another I figured the change of scenery would not be a problem. I guess the bridge jumper agreed, much to his dismay. Why the horse had no pace, I haven't a clue. If he is scratched sick out of his next start, we'll know.
