Anytime we can get 6-1 on sharp horses with top drivers, we need to take a close look.
Race 4 #3 Harner Hanover drops out of the 8 claimers to the 5's after a credible effort. He was the beaten favorite twice before in condition events. Stahl is not Grismore so we can expect pretty generous odds. Dashing Killean continues to be short, not sure if Oozie's Big Boy is ready yet, Blast The Siren is in peak form, but is stepping up. In a very close race, Harner Hanover appears to be the best value.
Race 10 #6 Hardrock Hudson gets Grismore back after a lack luster stroll last week from the second tier. This is a horse that loves the front end. He seems uninterested unless he is leading the pack. At Colonial Downs Corey Braden puts him in the lead no matter what the post draw. Braden and Grismore are the only real drivers this one has had in the past two years. Gris will know what to do tonight. Not a whole lot to beat either. This horse would move right up the condition ladder if he gets a top driver every week.
Race 12 #5 Tigerlee moves back to a positve post for his second chance in this class. Deaton hardly tried last week from the 8 hole, yet the horse closed willingly for a fourth place finish. The favorite will be Four Starzzz Matt, and rightly so, but looks beatable here if he gets some pressure early on. Rare Bunny will leave again like he always does and a couple inside guys will try to protect their positions. Tigerlee can do it both ways, so Elliott has options in this race.
There you have my trifecta of 6-1 morning line horses with great chances for upsets.
Good Luck
