Some plays I'm considering for tonight:
Race 1 #7 Simply Don't - Aaron Merriman (M/L 10-1) Yeah, the horse hasn't been out in a while and was banged up in her last real start. Doesn't matter...class wins the cheap ones at Northfield, and she's the classiest of this bunch. Jogged the last time she was in this class. Besides Aaron has an insane winning percentage from the seven hole. Cha-ching.
Race 4 #4 Radiant Star - Ryan Stahl (M/L 10-1) Shes' been called a rat, but I'm not going there yet.. When she finally got going last week, she wouldn't quit. Stahl the last to win with her against a lesser group. The post shift should have her more forwardly positioned early, so she won't have to make up so much ground. It takes a while to get her revved up, which gives me pause, but there is not a lot else to like in this one. Longshot special for sure.
Race 6 #5 Gram Of Gold - Elliott Deaton (M/L 3-1) Form cycle is peaking indicated by her pace numbers in her last two. Very comfortable at this level, she is normally competitive against better. Never seems to get much respect at the windows, so the price should be fair. Could be the easiest money of the night.
Race 11 #5 JL's Night Music - Elliott Deaton (M/L 6-1) Returns to Northfield and lands in a very soft spot. Deaton has had success with her in the past against better. He has also given her a couple trips from hell, so if she loses tonight, we know who to blame. Can race out of a hole, but is just as good on the front end where she is likely to be against this competion.
Good Luck
