Some value plays I'm looking at tonight:
Race 8 #7 CG's Lady - Ryan Stahl (M/L 6-1) This four year old mare seems to be in top form, just can't draw a post. Nevertheless, she is making nice moves and is reunited with Stahl who last drive her in the FM Open. Fits very well with this group...looking for a price.
Race 9 #6 Mephisto Waltz - Elliott Deaton (M/L 3-1) The three year old absolutely loves to win and exploded for the victory last week with her first try on lasix. Looks good for another one tonight. An over played favorite, a competitive race, and outside post should keep the price fair.
Race 10 #4 Ferris Wheel - Aaron Merriman (M/L 9-2) Drops in after racing against tougher at Indy. Best early speed in the race and a mark of 1:56 at Maywood early this year. She hasn't had a driver the caliber of Merriman since the last administration. Easy money
Race 14 #1 Shadowcross Arose - Joey Mapes (M/L 8-1) Major improvement seen the past couple of starts. There will be several leavers in this one, so she will be shuffled early. If Mapes doesn't allow her to get locked in, I'm looking for her to sweep by the leaders in the lane. Could be a double digit winner.
Good Luck

Cliff
In this siutation, with three of your value plays in the Pick 4, would you be playing that wager heavily, spreading out win bets, or looking to hook them up in exactas (Mephisto Waltz with ICUroller, as an example)?
Or do you have to wait and see how the numbers shake out?

Or do you have to wait and see how the numbers shake out? Of course I like to see the prices, but I will have a number of pick4 tickets, especially singling the second and third legs, and loading up on the trotters in the final leg. I'll no doubt have win bets on all of the above (assuming the prices are right), and I might play Merriman over all the inside horses in the super in the tenth, and if I'm ahead I'll do the same with (gulp) Joey Mapes in the finale. I failed to mention that I like the #6 Bullys Joni with Stahl in the 13th, so I may hit the 6/1 late double heavy (if I have any bankroll left, that is).
