Harness film to be made
November 09, 2006
News out of Hollywood states actor Emilio Estevez will direct a film that is expected out next fall that centers around harness racing. There was no word on who will star in the movie, which will be Estevez’s fourth as a director.

From a Google search It's my understanding that the movie will concentrate on a certain race at Scioto Downs where the outrider interferes with a trotter and an elderly, rotund amateur driver falls out of his sulky but then falls in love with a busty, female paramedic who attends to his injuries and plies him with expensive cigars. That's just a rough plot, though. |

Media reports indicate that actor, director and producer Emilio Estevez is working on a feature film about harness racing.
"It's a sports drama , sort of Rocky Meets The Mighty Ducks. It's about harness racing and it's called Johnny Longshot. It's about redemption and reinvention and in many ways it's about me and what's been happening the last 10 years," Estevez told a press during the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
"What can I say, it's an inspirational story," he said.
Estevez was at the film festival where his movie Bobby, about the murder of Robert F. Kennedy following the California primary in 1968, debuted.

Because of my business, I'm afforded some contact with film makers. I'm going to try and find out if they are scouting locations for this movie yet....though I'm sure they already have an idea where some of the major shoots will take place.

Re ,your not a gambler comment ,a few members on board for certain, like to call what we do( Investing ),if we invest the time(do our handicapping homework) then it becomes an investment when we actually make a wager.  |
