There should be no need to censor this board if the members adhere to the concept of why this board was created. It was created SOLELY to discuss handicapping and those issues that affect handicapping.

As far as I am concerned, its strictly the board owner's call. |

I'm not a gambler and haven't signed on much but kudos to the administrators on what they have done so far.  It is nice to read intelligent discussion and not wade through crap. |

We are all (or should be) grown men and women who posess the ability and restraint to keep on subject here, and keep impertinent issues we want to discuss elsewhere. This board is, after all, HANDICAPPING NORTHFIELD PARK - not "pregnant dogging about Northfield park". BW |

I too am in favor of censoring the board. In the past I would periodically look in on the other boards but it was not worth the effort of wading through the garbage to actually find some intelligent discussion or information. I never did join or comment on the other boards and looked in on this one for a few weeks before I applied to be a member.
I'm at the point in my life where personal gossip doesn't interest me. Reading rumors about who is cheating on their spouse, who likes to have a few extra drinks after the races or which trainer is taking shortcuts has a forum. This board has remained true to its mission statement of being a place to have some fun, discuss handicapping and learning about the sport. True, there are often discussions on subjects such as driving skill where individuals are named in positive and negative lights. However; comments are solely on a person's perceived ability and are not meant to be personal attacks.
Trackrat is correct; there should not be a need for censorship if everyone understands the point of this board. There may be a time where a member unintentionally will state something that may be construed as offensive and I think the administrators; in those rare cases, should delete those posts.

Moondog33 , i'm not a happy administrator to get home and find a censorship poll on this board. The moderators and i are very proud of the board , the way it has developed into the place to go for both serious and fun handicapping of Northfield . The dicussions , contests and challenges have added a lot , even the lock of the night adds to this boards appeal .
I as the board owner /Administrator have had very few posting issues to deal with over the last eight months , i can assure everyone that it will stay that way. The moderators and i will continue to delete posts that are derogatory towards other members or name calling of any kind , filth and swearing , or any posts that are offensive in nature.
NOW-- At 10 pm or so i will delete the poll and this whole thread will disappear , now everyone enjoy the board , the handicapping and discussions, and let's carry on in a positive manner or please enjoy the other style of board if you don't enjoy this one!

Moondog , at the risk of losing your valuable contributions to the board, i will leave up what you have created this time. In my opinion , polls are for politicians , yes the believer rules but i find your reference to me playing God offensive (again just my opinion )
