If polls are worthless why is one offered to use on this site?? Off the few members that voted it appears one sided. But not conclusive due to lack of participation in the poll. Believer sorry about the god reference  |

Not conclusive- maybe- typical of voting in the general election. Voter turnout was small but of those that voted.
For those who are not aware of the history of this board I will give a brief history from my perspective. Please do not hold this as Gospel as I my recollection could be a bit fuzzy.
There were a handful of members that posted regulary on another board - exchanging handicapping insight, and contests. At that sight they were persecuted for not wanting to be dragged through the mud and getting into pissing matches with other posters.
Taylor , decided to start another board for those who wished to participate and highlight the positive of this sport (business) and keep the negative aspects left to other message boards which did a great job at that.
It was destined for failure and would not survive according to public belief. It has stayed true to its original intent and has lost members because of this and has gained others.
It has been very refreshing to go to a forum and read something positive.
In the situation as the one that had the post deleted - it had more than just the article posted and added a personal belief and attack and everyone has thier rite to their belief - but when it becomes an assault on someones personal life it is not for this forum.
Everyone somewhere in life will have personal issues to deal with - we see it in all aspects of life, and trust me when I say someday an event like this will happen to someone you care about or love dearly - maybe not drugs - but an event that most likely will change your life and possibly destroy it.
When that happens you will find 4 groups of people
1) The enablers - the make believe friends who make it possibel for you to continue down its path for one reason or another.
2) The crucifiers - the ones who will kick and burn you while your down hoping you will never recover. Face it people are like sharks they go into a frenzy at the first sign of blood.
3) True friends - the ones who do care and will walk that road to recovery with you now matter hard and long the journey is.
4) The pacifists - the ones who just do not care one way or the other

I want to thank all the members for their kind words regarding the board .
Moderator's , Members and Fans of this board , Moondog33 and i have communicated via private messages and i'm happy to report that posting issues have been addressed and solved ! This board will remain , the best place to go for Northfield handicapping , discussions and contests/challenges!. We really do have something special here , i thank one and all for making it that way!
