Horses and drivers off the gate!

Keith, seems to be a rash of horses off the gate....#4 Icyunvme ..a 2/5 shot missed the gate by several lengths......is anybody going to start the ball rolling to protect the fans and wagering public....,and wake up the judges and replace the starter if he can't get the horses to line up properly...fines...fines $200 first and second offence days!....i understand the 6th race was very bad as well...the three horses that had their nose on the gate ...finished 123........cant help but recall a comment by trackrat " The one thing i loved about Grismore..he ALWAYS..had the horse's nose on the gate. He never made the horse race an extra 1/8 OF A MILE TO CATCH UP TO THE GATE !"

Keith , hope that something gets done to remedy the problem....lots of disgrunted bettors is not a good thing for Northfield Park.

Could you find out the address or person to contact.....State of Ohio ...to lodge a written complaint ( horses off the gate).... it maybe a judge problem...(lack of action )......in Ont. ..our judges move around from track to track....years ago one of the best judges ever(fair)...struck fear in the horsemen.(fines galore- wouldn't put up with all the poor racing actions lately)..might take a few days but racing was great when everyone played by the rules!....no play...you pay!

Mr Rose was fined for his drive on Icunvme last night and the starter(s) have been advised to keep closer watch on these situations...there may be some leeway in the maiden races for horses racing "green," but I think you will see a bit of a stiffening of enforcement.
