From JimHorseman:Longshot Mike and I must have spotted the same horse last week. El Gees Mr Q made my watch list and both Mike & I are trying him today. El Gees was sitting pocket last week behind Lahas Lost when the lead horse literally stopped at the 3/4 pole. El Gees looked to have a lot of energy with no place to go. By the time they hit the top of the stretch El Gees looked to be about 5 lengths out with no momentum which forced him to enter the passing lane and attempt to re-ignite. That he did. El Gees made up 3 lengths on the leaders and eventually first & second place horse despite their having much more momentum. I think Wyatt just takes El Gees wire to wire today.I was planning to just watch race 7 (maybe a small win bet or $1 super straight), but if Mike and Jim are that keen on the 5 horse, I think I can spare a few bucks on a WP to find out if they're right! See ya at the track! BW

Sorry BW, looks like I owe you a beer or two for El Gees Mr Q. Not sure if you just watched the race but El Gees tried to leave as I thought but three horses left inside him. El Gees was four wide into the first turn, three wide down the backstretch the first time and unable to get a hole. He was parked the mile and finished a game fifth. I'm glad the Meadows is re-opened and hope Charlino heads back to Pittsburg. I'm not sure if he has something against Wyatt Irvine but I can't begin to tell you how many times in the past month I've bet a Wyatt horse to go to the front and he gets hung three wide into the first turn by Charlino. This is the fourth instance I can think of without giving it much thought. Charlino left today, hangs out for the first turn and then decides to tuck in with little effort to really get to the front. All he did was cost Wyatt a chance to get to the front or a hole. Frustrating. Charlino did at least get his horse to pass the tired leaders and win the photo for second so it looks like a smart move. I just don't see the sense in leaving hard to tuck back and then have to move hard a second time late. Leave for the lead, leave for positon. Just don't leave and use a lot of energy to end up in about the same place you would have been if you dived right for the rail as the gates open.
Can you tell I might have had a dollar or ten invested in the race?

Jim, As I wade through a small mountain of chalk dust, let me first say this:
Never apologize to me about the horses you pick! You didn't stuff your hands into my pockets and play the picks your way! Yes I lost a few bucks playing the 5 horse, but I also lost playing my 3 horse pick($5WPS)!
But I hit a few tonight, and I'm doing ok at the windows. Your insight and wisdom (as well as many others) has helped me immensely over the past year or so, and I appreciate your input very much! Keep playing them the way you see 'em, and I'll keep following your lead! My Best to you!

Oh , my second wager is in race 11 ,,,#2 Powerful Cam..leave a little , finish hard ...hope i'm correct --the bet W / P not a winner
