Keith, I saw the new "upscale" lounge at the track last night and it is very nice, with the intimate tables and the little nooks with the leather sofas, etc. However, when I entered the area, the people habitating the "upscale" lounge were all wearing t-shirts, jeans, shorts, sneakers, etc. and drinking beer right outa the bottle, hardly an upscale crowd. This brings to mind the following questions:
1) Is the "upscale" lounge for EVERYONE'S use or just the high rollers? 2) Will there/is there a dress code? 3) Is there a table fee or a sofa fee?
When I was upstairs, the bartender at the Sports Bar said that the Sports Bar would be closing after tomorrow night. Is that true?
Thanks Keith.

We are working on rules for the lounge-- there will be moderate dress standards and possibly a minimum wager or food purchase. I am not aware of the upstairs sports bar closing, but I am juts the publicity director--nobody tells me aanythin ;D

My first complaint of the new lounge -
To d**n small.
Need to make another upstairs overlooking the track- take part of the empty grandstand.

Giss, as a retired fire department guy, I'm interested in what capacity (patron limit) the fire marshall assigned to the new lounge. Or do they consider it part of the whole downstairs area because it's not actually enclosed?

I have a moderate complaint/suggestion.
Give the bartender the remotes for the tv's so that you don't have to wait 25 minutes for a channel change. Other than that keep it free! ;D
