Reading the feature on Boulder Creek, reminds me of the 2004
Breeders Crown, I had $20 to place on Peruvian Hanover.
(Won the Batlle that year?).
Four starzzz Shark ran out at 1/5.
Boulder Creek won and Peruvian Hanover, was in a dead heat for place. And still paid $50 to place. Even with 3 place payouts!
