Made our first visit to this facility and my only complaint is that it is not closer to home.
It has been years since I have experienced that type of atmosphere at a harness track.
Loretta and I were given passes to the VIP Belmont party as we had a horse racing Saturday night and that just added to the experience.
Friday night I watched and wagered from the simulcast area and did not have to leave my seat. There was no charge for these seats with private monitors and built in wagering touch screens. Also waitress service was pleasant and always close by.
Saturday we watched from the grandstand and it reminded me of minor league baseball - where they are attentive to the fan in the stands. Vendors walking through the stands selling beer, hot puppies even cotton candy. $2.50 a beer that is cold and delivered to you with a smile. Crazy people- what are they thinking.
It is an outstanding facility and it is quite obvious it would not be there without the slots. If you have the chance to visit this place - Do it, you will enjoy it.

Jay:
Under the subject "Other Harness Tracks" I wrote about my visit to Tioga Downs on Kentucky Derby Day and was similiarly impressed. I think it is one of the top three tracks I have been to in the past twenty years. It is a two and a half hour ride (sadly close to $100 in gas and tolls) but we enjoyed our trip there so much that my friends and I are thinking about visiting again before the end of June if perhaps a special occasion comes up.
