Selections for Wednesday July 30.
Race 1 It's fun to guess at maidens - they are a money drain if you play them
#5 Up Front River Gal - Kelly O off and Jonesy on; always respect Mr. Ed's horses
#4 Intrepid Aries - nice effort in his first start, better post tonight, need to know if this one can leave
#6 Dewey - might go right down the road against these, the post and driver both concerns
#2 Tricky Sam - in too tough for his first two starts here, better opportunity tonight
Race 2 What I said about maidens goes triple for trotters
#4 Roger Wilco - looks ready with an inside post and Donny Mac
#6 Our Ticket - looked like a race horse the last time out, should be brave tonight
#1 Valentino Peace - Bob Eiden's trotters usually do pretty well with catch drivers
#2 Big Scene - fast enough to get a piece
Race 3
#4 I Be Strollin - check out his second half
#1 Space Magic - over his head at Indy, Deaton usually good with young ones
#7 Whose Bright Idea - on the board last three, no post or driver tonight
#2 Sadie Falcon - passed some horses in the second half - a good sign
Race 4
#6 Tic-L-Me Irvin - the only entry with any class at all
#3 Key To Life - I liked the song (Faith Hill, wasn't it?)
#4 Hey Tough Guy - kept up until the stretch last time
#8 Second Agenda - old timer can still get around in 2 minutes
Race 5
#4 Terp - will smoke these if he's right
#3 Handsome Harley - way over due, good spot here
#1 Hez A Titan - early speed
#7 Lo And Behold - may bounce in his second start, post also an issue
Race 6
#5 Hezamagicman - seldom wins but in very soft tonight
#2 Turbo Connection - hit the board two back from the inside
#1 Special K - has been stinking up the joint lately, may wake up with the rail
#6 City Dragon- easier field than he's faced in the last two
Race 7
#2 Crop Support N - best of this bunch, best post in a long while
