As is customary, we extend a "welcome aboard" to a new member, Broadbrush, who has immediately made an impact in our March handicapping contest. Along with this welcome, we extend an invitation to Broadbrush to share his background with us... how long have you been a harness racing fan... are you a horseman (owner, trainer, driver) or just a fan... location, just the basics. We have a diverse collection of board members ranging from newbies to veteran horsemen, so whatever your background, you'll fit in just fine.

Broadbrush is a personal friend of mine and racetrack partner in crime. ;D I turned him on to this site and he loves it. He's kind of shy but I'll get him to post he's a knowledgeable guy.
He once took down an entire pick 4 at Laurel for 24 grand for a mere $72 wager. Already he's outshining me here what else is new lol. His strategy is plain and simple and that is to stick to the higher purse races because the horses run more to form. I asked him yesterday why he bet a horse to show with a huge favorite and he said if he finishes out of the money it's bombs away. Horse finished third he was almost right.
He will be a welcome addition to this board.

I would like to thank my esteemed friend (TAUTAG) from the great state of New Jersey( yeah, um a politician) for his kind words. My 'name' is BroadBrush named after a great racehorse and an even better sire! For u flat players- if u see a horse sired by Broad Brush on the turf or in the mud- always factor that in. my friend TAUTAG is a little bit too conservative, gambling-wise, for my taste; but despite what has been said about him at the Franchise room at the Meadowlands- he's no 'chalk-eating weasel'. He has a 'system' and a certain (conservative) betting patterns in which he plays horses which in the long run will yield him a profit. Me? I go for the big kill- which is why i'm usually broke  ....Anyway, good luck to all!  ( btw, as of 3/06 I'm IN THE LEAD in this contest! ;D) |
