I know some tracks have a rule in place that requires a horse to sit out a week if they win three races in a row at the top overnight level. Does Northfield have such a rule?

A good question for a horseman to answer,i would think he would be asked to race in the inv hdcp and draw inside..just guessing??

I've had a lot of success betting against horses with 2 consecutive wins at the highest level and I was just wondering if my success was dumb luck or the product of a very bad rule.

Yep they do. A lot of tracks do have it. Actually I had some good plays betting against the handicapped horse ONLY if I knew the stable that had said horse didn't race anywhere else. I mean they weren't going to go hell bent for 1 purse and sacrifice the horse for a couple of starts minimum.

Thanks for the info. Based on the way certain horses had been driven in the past I figured they did. My only question is, why would a track encourage "dull" efforts by having such a rule?
In essence, Big Charmer had absolutely no chance to win tonight. Correct?
