Giss, I tuned in for racing Monday 11-24-2008 at NFLD. But I swear it was replays from 11-24-1978
2:09 miles 3- sub 2:00 miles? Horses gapping out dozens of lengths? $1800 purses?
Heartbreaking to watch 25 years of progress deteriorate so quickly, since Carl M's death. No wonder Greg Keidel has been searching for a new home, where he can once again impliment his vision and talents, for building a great racing venue. You can blame it on the lack of slots if you wish (denial). But the BIG M doesn't have slots, and they continue to offer some of the best racing the sport has to offer. And I understand it's hard to draw new fan's (especially without the effort) but NFLD will not even maintain the base gamblers they have with the product they now offer. The best thing for Ohio racing would be for Brock to sell or lease the facility to someone who cares.
