#2 Gram Of Gold - generally gives a good effort, weak field of claimers
#1 Hurricane Kelsey - should set the early pace

#4 Anita Rush - does she have anything left?

#1 Fast Attack - earns $500 per start, hasn't had a post forever, look out
#2 Sweetie Sue Cam - beaten favorite
#5 Dance With A Star - better than 20-1 with Merriman
#7 Towner's Big Sadie - the driver can overcome the post

Cliff, excellent return to the handicapping board. You nailed 10 winners in 14 races for a 71% win rate, including a couple of nice mutuels: Paris H in the fourth race for $6.80 and Fast Attack in the eighth race for $8.80.

Thanks TR. I guess it's something like riding a bicycle, since I haven't been following Northfield that closely for the past couple of months. I just crunched the numbers and winged it, basic handicapping principles at work, which should be a lesson not to over analyze (something I especially have to guard against). It really wasn't that tough a card, pretty chalky. Even so, I wouldn't have expected that kind of win percentage.

It's interesting that the three I missed were the three trots...trotters always beat me and the 13th race which was impossible to handicap , although Jay seemed to have the better approach on that one.
