1) Horsemen complaining when their horse gets claimed. If you don't want to sell, don't put a price tag on him.
On this subject, the 14th race tonight, has a 7-year-old gelding, Rapid Dialing in for the $3,000 claiming price. This horse has almost $400,000 in career earnings, was racing in $20k claimers earlier this year. Career best 149 and change at age 3. Been off for a while, presumably with injuries.
If the presumed injury is healed, why expose him to a cheap claim? If the injury is NOT healed, why race him and risk losing whatever value he might have had if completely healed?

Rat
Ryan Angus purchased this horse in November, after training him for a couple starts. Th eobvious guess is that he has some pretty big hole, but the previous owner typically does not mess with cheap horses, ao he may have just let him go cheap.
My guess that if someone claims the horse for $3 tonight, Angus will come out okay.
