Do you have a betting preference at Northfield ? Any member or guest (guest section) is welcome to give an observation or answer to this question ?

I have no preference, although handicapping claimers, especially at higher levels, is tougher. Once I figured out the two types of races need to be handicapped differently, I'm not reluctant to wager either. I will admit to doing better with condition races, however.

There is no question that I much prefer the condition races. In fact, my least favorite races to bet are the saturday night claimers where it seems every other horse is coming off a claim and they move week to week between claiming levels. My personal belief is that condition horses race more to form and thus are easier to handicap. Of course the quesiton come also be stated pacers vs trotters? Fillies/Mares or the Boys? My answers are indifferent about pacers/trotters but I like the Fillies/Mares. Friday night (yesterday excluded due to the poor weather) is usually my most successful night.
