#8 Fleur De Le - I'm a believer, but man, this is a tough spot
#7 Dessies Girl - she's growing on me, another with a tough post

#1 Sister Kathy - really looked strong last start, beaten by a couple of sharp ones
#2 Sam's Charmer - improved a bunch since Matt last drove her
#3 Bibi Vai Vai - on the board last time she was this far inside
#4 Packet Fulla Stars - still a nice looking trotter despite the disappointment last week

#3 Voo Doo U Too - liked her last week, no trip at all, another chance tonight
#1 Virtual Dream - seems to have regressed, a dry track may help
#2 Best Be Lucky - on the barn change, has always been an under achiever
#9 Cathy-D - cashes too many checks to ignore, hasn't raced herself out of this class yet

Cliff, thanks to your top picks in the second, third and eighth races, I was able to cash trifectas in those three races, which gave me an extra $10 to toss at Redmeansgo in the tenth race. I have to admit that looking at Secret Affair in the third race, who had lost her last four races by a combined 62 and 1/2 lengths, I never would have included her without your touting her. I appreciate your picks from two perspectives. Like many of our board members (I suspect), I like to see if you agree with MY picks, which tends to validate (in my mind), my handicapping. Secondly, your pre-race analyses point out some angles that might otherwise be overlooked and that extra information comes in handy for those of us who haven't looked that closely into past performance lines. Thanks again.

Thanks TR...Secret Affair was a pretty easy one, heck even the giss had that one. That's the nice thing about this forum. We have an advantage over the casual fan who only glances at the program a few minutes before post.

Speaking of the tenth race, I had a very nice pick4 ticket working with another of my key horses, Real Loose, poised for victory when that 50-1 bomb of yours blew up my ticket.

I have another potential value horse in tonight's fifth. I haven't touted the horse publicly, but have been waiting to play the horse since Kash Jr. chose to sit the pocket on 01/10 instead of putting the horse in the lead. I thought he was the best horse in that race. I won't rag on Josh that much as pocket sitters were the big winners that night, if you recall. Anyway, the leader poops out, Jr. gets shuffled, the horse finally gets loose with mucho pace, but it was too late. The horse shouldn't be played that much tonight, even with the switch to Merriman. The horse can race out of a hole as the 12/20 line suggests. Looking for a covered trip (perhaps behind Kakaley). Not as confident as with Secret Affair, there are some tough horses to beat in this one, but the price will be right and worth the gamble. This is the kind of scenario that makes me, Longshot Mike and others wish for an early pick3. Oh well.
