With all the discussions of Tony Morgan and his quest for a 1000 another more important story is going on without any mention.
We have all seen Aaron take his game to the next level as of late- and he has quietly closed in on this years driving title- being just 6 wins behind after last night. Whether or not TM gets 1000 is news for the sport and a huge milestone, but if Aaron can capture Northfields driving title- that is bigger news for the hometown and the fans here.
Good Luck Aaron and keep up the good work.

Good luck Arod...with the driving performance on last nights card 9 wins, you can caputure the title ,with or without Tony Morgan around! Thanks Jay for bringing this to our attention.

BTW, Aaron started December 53 wins behind Greg

Looks like Grismore is conceding the title to Arod. Grismore is not scheduled to drive tonight (Thursday) and only has a few scheduled drives for Yonkers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not like Grismore to go quietly.

Aaron closes to within 3. He now has 491 to Greg's 494
Keith is there a list of who won the driving titles since Northfields inception and who was the youngest to do so ?

I have the list and here is what I have after a quick look. Brett was 27 when he won in 2000 and Fisher was 27 when he won his first in 1995. Patsy Rapone was 23 when he won the Grandview meet title in 1977--we didn't keep year-long records back then.

I can't see Brett Miller beating Case for the year unless Case had some suspensions that year.

I only worked here part-time back then, but I am pretty sure Walter spent a chunk of time at Pocono--he actually won more races total than Brett (519-511)
