Selections for Saturday January 31.
.
Race 1
#9 Jates Boy - third start back, in cheap, not much to beat
#2 Expensive Western - double class drop, moves inside, picks up the hot driver
#5 Big Guy Forever - seldom seen at this level, Sugg/Scarl steady otb combo
#4 Take Down Hall - has really struggled, needs a softer group to win
Race 2
#4 Dublin Dollars - super sharp, the only claimer with a post
#6 Mr Mime - post a problem, but he's better than most of these, seldom breaks
#1 Corleones Capo - better than he's looked, Miller off - Sugg on, encouraging move
#9 Mystical Victor - on the board two thirds of the time, can't ignore
Race 3
#3 Glitter For Prez - guess they're going to take the $1500 every week til someone claims him
#2 Fox Valley Jammin - the main threat with Aaron, second to Rapid Darling a couple back
#5 Spires Trick - not real sharp but drops from the claimers
#9 Coalford Admiral - not crazy about the post, but he's sharp, makes money in this class
Race 4
#4 Mr Cadillac - the only early foot in the race, should be enough for another one
#1 Big George H - gutty horse, just takes a while to get going
#3 Eagle Tack - hangs around and makes money in this class, has trouble winning this high
#6 He's Determined - in too tough last week, competes well at this level
Race 5
#5 Western Empire - can race out of a hole, plenty of early speed in this one
#2 Knob Hill Splash - proven at this level, will be on the engine again
#1 Delivered Rules - can protect his position, probably never gets off the rail
#4 Soul Redeemer - Kakaley has a lot of wins with this one, may be a step over his best class
Race 6
#2 Chust Chudy - can dominate this class at times, will be tough from this spot
#5 Ask For Gold - has sharpened up nicely, tough trip last week and still managed show money
#1 Keno Vicky - good leaver will be in position to compete
#3 Sassy Jewel - impressive win last week, not her best class
Race 7
#6 Admiral Pembroke - big brush to the lead last week, like the looks of this four year old
#2 Dontgetintheway - makes a bunch of money for not winning very often
#4 Go Bogart - seldom seen at this level, an under achiever in my mind
#9 Irish Shade - claimer in a cheap condition, made $30k last year
Race 8
#3 Go Again - will be tough again on the front end, cruises if not challenged early
#5 Category Six - racing better than his results indicate, could upset
#1 Rella's Trick - always cashes when in this close
#4 Bagel Man - looks awkward at times, may do better on a larger track
Race 9
#5 Lucca's Revenge - open class trotter looks poised to go right down the road against these
#1 Yankee Sherwood - will leave from this spot and be in good position
#9 Docdor Reece - pretty fair brush last time out
#3 Upfront Navigator - sharp and moving up, unproven at this level
Race 10
#6 BJ's Tune - have learned not to bet against him
#4 J T Stena - came back to earth last week, still rates consideration
#1 Metekas - no trip last week, always tough from this far inside
#3 Slade Gram - locked in much of the way, will have more to say if he gets out
Race 11
#5 Lite Me Up - back to start another string
#2 Spellbinder - don't understand the 12-1, sharp and has the good post
#6 Dan Chaz - hard to leave from this spot
#3 Lakeside Al N - makes a nice living in this class, just never wins
Race 12
#3 American Tribute - looked much the best last week
#4 R Cowboy - never breaks twice in a row, won two back
#1 Master Wheels - a money machine for the McKirgans, won't squander the rail
#5 Chippendale Dancer - belongs with these
Race 13
#1 Exceptional Toy - had some pace last week, rail will really help
#4 Townline Powerful - moves back inside where he's won his last two
#3 Sparks Of Gold - has sharpened up
#5 Increase Profit - the move up is a tell, they value this one, 1:53.2 at Indy last year
Good Luck
