Bye Bye Wednesday

Selections for Wednesday February 25. Tonight we say goodbye to Wednesday racing at Northfield until next winter. Can't say I've had much luck on Wednesday. Wish we could say goodbye to some of these horses.

#1 CG's Lady - don't think we've seen her best yet
#3 Barratry - still looks rough, but game as ever
#9 Fantastic Lane - moves back inside, should be more involved tonight
#6 Admiral Pembroke - like the horse, post won't help tonight

Race 3

#9 Doowrah's Trifold - change of scenery gives this one a chance
#6 Average Hoss - looks fast enough, but zero for 24 is a turn off
#3 Coin Of The Realm - another with a new barn, and ahem...new driver
#5 Clayton - might have some ability if he would just stay pacing

Race 4

#9 Fessup Fred - class dropper lands in an easy spot
#3 Corleones Capo - has looked like a different horse with Donny Mac in the bike
#6 Honorable Guy - has the class to romp against these if he wants to trot the mile
#1 Lukenbak - makes his living in this class

Race 5

#4 Johnnyisajohnny - terrific effort last week in the slop
#9 Miller Please - sharp, was first out against a tough one last week
#2 Mike's Heir - gets Merriman back, doesn't win often enough for my taste
#5 Rapid Dialing - badly beaten favorite dropping like a stone, not a good sign

Race 6

#6 Spur On Begonia - a good possibility here with $$ leveling
#5 Dublin Dollars - will be over bet, has looked very beatable in last three
#4 Bigmacatac - has the ability, will need a start or two
#1 Dancen S J - has really stepped it up for Mr Green

Race 7

#4 Art's Baker - has not had a post since the new year, Sugg last to guide him to the winners circle
#1 Sam's Delight - racing well and has the rail
#9 Rabbitman - over his best class, but won't need to do much to earn a check
#2 Engine Hanover - another out classed, but this is NW250 lite

Race 8

#4 Contradiction - should start a new streak with the improved draw
#7 Conductors Timeout - seldom seen at this level, second start back, next week will be his
#5 Thunder Shower - the other speed ball dropping, may have leveled a bit
#9 Jack N Sam - coming off a nice victory, these are tougher

Race 10

#7 Komodo Island - has been in over his head, fits much better here, new connections
#4 Eza Rich King - badly beaten favorite better than the rest of these
#1 A Firm Kisser - actually got involved last week
#8 Tiger IZ - like the early speed, more consideration with a better post

Race 11

#3 Bacon Hill Bandit - love claimers moving up, this one is razor sharp Best Bet
#1 Armbro Deck - sharp horse, sharp driver, sharp barn
#5 Painted Speed - fits extremely well with this group
#9 The Long Goodbye - hasn't proved he can win at this level, like the fact he was moved up

Race 12

#7 Liftoff Bayama - beaten by an unknown last week, no such animal in tonight's field
#6 I Can Scoot Too - class dropper gets Kakaley
#3 Blues Special - new connections, Merriman has to help .
#4 Toronado Mindale - moving up, won seven races last year

Race 13

#1 Chips Treasure - the last time he had a post Bush was still prez
#4 Liltycantbedenied - they open the class to get him in, chased home a sharp one last week
#2 Matador Monster - moves back inside
#6 Slide Lock - always dangerous in this class, even from out here
