Race 1

#2 Tag Dancer's Filly - inconsistent, but gets steady Andy who isn't afraid to put a horse in the lead
#1 Iknowwhatboyslike - great early speed, doesn't always sustain
#7 Lonesome Pride - drops to a more comfortable level, OTB over 50%
#5 Kosher Winner - third start back, but they didn't put Merriman up

Race 2

#7 Drop Of Nutmeg - don't think we've seen her best yet
#6 Lady McJate - wins at this level when she's sharp, and sharp she is
#1 Weekie Wachie - drops to the level of her last win here, form is suspect
#5 Sayo Hanover - Merriman chose off, but I really like this 4yo No Nukes

Race 3

#4 Electric Highlight - liked her last week, getting right back on, best post in a while
#2 Towner's Greatlady - big effort last week, needs to win more often
#9 Scoot To The Top - Aaron helps her chances, makes a living in this class, but doesn't win very often
#3 Redmeansgo - may have hit her ceiling in this class, no moves at all in last two

Race 4 Longshot Play Of The Week

#7 Race On Wonder - didn't make a grand/start last year standing still, moved up off the claim, a tell
#9 Armbro Wonder - sharp with Kakaley, unproven at this level
#5 Rhiannon O Rhye - had nothing for the winner last week off a slow pace
#4 Rosie's Sweetie - moving up off two in a row, unsure what her upside is

Race 5

#5 Mystical Blodget - beaten by a couple sharp ones last time, not much to like about the rest
#9 Cinderella Blue - locked in most of the way last week, second chance with Aaron
#6 Bigaffairintown - on the board too often to ignore, seldom wins
#1 Katies Valentine - another that just hangs around, the rail helps

Race 6

#6 First Tier - did everything right last week but win
#5 Nickie K - positive post shift in her second start back, the class here
#3 Corleone's Dream - unsure of her upside, good indicator tonight
#2 Jarmoto - should improve off needed start

Race 7

#6 Lobe's Player - easily on Tues, no reason to get off her in this one
#4 Quenelle Hanover - first post at this level, should be a player
#1 Spirit Within - if she had any early speed at all, I'd put her on top
#5 Tiger's Big Girl - unfortunate break, another shot tonight

Race 8

#9 Elektrafreak - seldom seen at this level, great shot against these Could Be A Value
#5 Krissy K - very sharp, but how will she fair away from the Sherman barn?
#2 Packet Fulla Stars - shows flashes of ability, could be a late bloomer
#6 Fiesty Kindof Luv - always the bridesmaid

Race 9

#4 My Sweet Lorelei - thought I saw a live horse last week, we'll see tonight Value Play
#1 Voo Doo U Too - no excuses in last two, disappointing as near favorite
#5 Doowrah Silver - second chance for new stable
#7 Slick-As-Sleet - if Charlie doesn't try to do too much too early

Race 10

#2 Helene's Escape - back on the gate, will leave tonight
#1 Pat's Fantasy - took advantage of the fast early pace last week, can't protect the rail
#5 Silky Sailor - looks comfortable racing at this level, can pop a good one at any time
#9 Survivor I Am - third start back, got involved Tuesday

Race 11

#1 Precious Susie - had her rest now it's back to business, like her back half in the qual
#5 Sara's Lil Sis - will be tough tonight with the class relief
#2 Dee Town - should be competitive at this level if she gets regular starts here
#3 Fast Attack - gets class relief

Race 12

#1 Village Catera - has the post to put one across against this suspect field Best Bet
#5 Sweetie Peetie - sign of life last week
#2 Sadie Falcon - has never shown much, made a brush to get into the race last week .
#4 Jayci Honey - never was much, can pick up a check at this level with Merriman

Race 13

#9 Tequila - won like a 60¢ horse should on Tues, ETE tough to beat tonight
#2 Itza Goozi Girl - threw a scare into the leaders Tues, she's coming around
#6 Mindy Love Brown - love to see what she could do with a post
#1 Idealized Print - jury still out on this newcomer, let's see what she does with this post

VERY SUSPICIOUS DRIVE BY JOSH KASH ON MY SWEET LORELEI IN THE NINTH RACE. HE DID NOT GET OUT APPROACHING THE HALF, GOT GAPPED GOING TO THE 3/4, RELUCTANTLY LEFT THE RAIL AND FOLLOWED DOOWRAH SILVER, THE EVENTUAL WINNER, BUT THEN DUCKED BACK ON THE RAIL BEHIND HIS FATHER, AS IF TO SAY, "HERE DAD, YOU CAN GET A CHECK TONIGHT". AT THE TOP OF THE STRETCH, HIS DAD WENT THE WAY JOSH WAS GOING TO GO, FORCING JOSH TO CHANGE DIRECTION IN THE STRETCH. IN MY OPINION, LORELEI WINS EASILY WITH AROD OR MATT IN THE BIKE.

JOSH SHOULD BE BANNED FROM NORTHFIELD, LIKE HE WAS IN BUFFALO.

I couldn't watch the races last night (Mama had other plans for me), so I won't comment directly on this race. But I should remind that this is an undistinguished horse racing for an undistinguished barn and being steered by an undistinguished driver. Often in this scenario a horse looks pretty good one week, then like crap the next.

Having said that, personally I never wager any money on Kash Jr even if I happen to pick him in one of my selections. I find him too inconsistent and unreliable as a driver. His catch driving record with horses he doesn't train is poor, not to mention that his horses do better when catch driven by others.

I have nothing against him nor will I be as accusatory as Mully, but I am a numbers guy, and the numbers tell me to stay away from him.

LORELEI WINS AND PAYS $11.80 FOLLOWING A PATIENT DRIVE BY JOSH KASH, STALKING THE EVENTUAL PLACE HORSE, BETCHA I ATTACK. LOOKED LIKE JOSH COULD HAVE GOTTEN OUT EARLIER AFTER THE 3/4 BUT IT SEEMED LIKE HE DID NOT WANT TO GIVE THE TRAILING HORSE, MOMMAS GONE CRUZIN ANY CHANCE TO GATHER MOMENTUM FOR THE STRETCH DRIVE. THIS WAS A VERY WEAK FIELD, SO IT'S DOUBTFUL IF ANY OF THESE THREE ARE 'BET BACK" HORSES, BUT DEPENDS UPON NEXT WEEKS COMPETITION.

My man Mull was right about Lorelei. I give you props. I just have trouble betting Kash Jr. You're also right that was a very weak field, probably a preview of coming attractions with spring approaching and all the other tracks opening up.
