Selections for Monday March 16.
Race 1 breaker breaker
#1 Pick Me A Rose - the breaks are his only problem
#5 Ben Mor Lane - finally did some good work, 0 for 20 a turn off
#3 Detective - did nothing until the final quarter, not sold on him
#7 Cinderella's Pete - couldn't win with Kakaley, 0 for 21 after this race
Race 2 I'll cap it, but I can't play it, even with gov't money
#3 Splish Flash - looks willing to race, the lasix may help
#5 Eaglewingseldorado - speaking of work, this horse did a little last time
#1 Average Hoss - took a step backward last week, still have to play the shamrock this week
#9 R U There - another 0 forever horse who does no work
Race 3
#4 Hylite Lavec - crushed similar last time he was in this position
#2 Striking Karat - should get away well from here and maybe hold position
#7 Stonebridge Romeo - has the speed to compete with these, will break at any time without warning
#5 Star-Why - why? has never had a positive post in this class, and never breaks
Race 4
#1 Damien De Vie - did all the work last week, let's see if they can catch him tonight
#3 Class Worker - Joey likes to leave, so does the horse, should be in good position
#5 Aviator Bluestone - a better test tonight, need to see if he really is a new horse
#2 David Erol - doesn't leave all that well, won't win this one first over
Race 5
#9 Stonebridge Falcon - lukewarm call, he is the best horse, but that's not saying much
#4 Beach Partner - if he takes his Geritol, he could do it with North America's leading driver
#3 Thisoldartofmine - another that should be grazing in a field somewhere
#6 Kueken - it's that shamrock angle again
Race 6
#2 Sweet Ashtin - I'm sweet on this mare, just put her in the lead Joey, and let her pace
#4 Sophia - on a good night she has one move, Aaron hopes this is a good night
#9 Sweetie Peetie - has a better move than Sophia, but Charlie is a tad behind Aaron in the rankings
#1 Nuclear Beauty - has Kakaley and the rail, now if she just had a little more speed
Race 7
#2 Super Max N - spanked a better group last week, might get 10 cents on the dollar
#9 Slide Lock - finally beat the under crowd, hasn't beat the over crowd since Christmas
#5 Breeze On By N - still working hard at 13, his 401k must look as bad as mine
#8 Allamerican Raider - 4th from out here last week, probably there again
Race 8
#1 Hogue's Rockie - will run a way and hide if he kicks it in gear early
#6 Git R Done Dad - besides the driver change, look at that back half
#2 Conductors Timeout - has as much ability as any in this one, just doesn't always use it
#3 Trytopass - still green, will need to get used to aggressive drivers
Race 9
#1 Sleepen N Memphis - may have finally gotten it together, let's be a little patient with him
#3 Crazy Train - second start back, second time lasix, more patience needed
#2 Idealized Print - did some nice work last week, jury still out on this one as well
#9 Diana Court - I don't know why I think she's better than she's looked, but I do
Race 10
#3 Jack's Crusin - tepid call, haven't seen much work and Stahl likes the #1, still think he has an upside
#1 CG's Wonder - lack of gate speed is my chief concern, won't progress up the ladder without it
#4 French Attack - have never been impressed, but I'm willing to give him another look
#7 Gator At The Door - can't blame the horse for that last line, post is the excuse tonight
Race 11
#4 I'm Faster - loved him last week at 7-2, not worth 3-5 tonight
#2 Eagle Creek Patrol - would love to give him the call, but I've already picked Joey once tonight
#9 Provara's Best - I've always felt for this horse, he could have accomplished so much more
#1 Engine Hanover - I remember when he was a colt, that was a long long time ago
Race 12 Ugly Alert
#4 Guile's Boy - someone has to win it, he made the trip five times last year
#3 Ryans Hall - not a good horse, but this is not a good race
#1 I'm Patrick - backed up less than the rest of these
#9 Leach - only because of Aaron.
Race 13
#1 Art's Baker - breaking one of my rules, but Kakaley/Knipper/the rail too enticing
#9 Take Down Hall - has been a money machine for a couple months, maybe the gov't can use him
#5 Mike's Heir - the better post and Merriman gives him hope
#2 Tough Bow Min - actually fits with these, especially with this post
Good Luck
