Selections for Tuesday April 14. The selections are predicated on the listed drivers showing up. As with yesterday, adjustments need be made for those AWOL.
Race 1 Ugly Alert
#2 Pentium Chip - risky, but I like the driver change, and there is nothing to beat in this one
#5 Harmony Oaks Tom - hasn't hit the board yet this year, drops below the level of last win
#4 Sky Strikes - grabbed show money last time he had a post
#1 Sand Kanyon - could surprise, waiting on a driver
Race 2
#3 Two Good Fellows - hard to go against him, better than a three claimer
#4 Moneyman - came to life for Merriman
#5 Dublin Dollars - sharpening up, a true three claimer
#2 Glasslite - has been racing better, need a driver to rank higher
Race 3
#7 Osborne's Yankee - the clear choice despite the post
#3 Dali Hanover - real nice qualifier for the stakes colt
#1 Sunset Ball - first time lasix plus the rail
#8 Made For Cruisin - beaten favorite can compete if he gets away better
Race 4 Wide Wide Open Affair
#3 Eagle Thriller - if he gets the lead early they might not catch him
#2 Big Head Hundreds - under performing for sure, should hit the board here
#4 Mans Star - Kakaley is the best thing he has going for him
#6 K C Rudy Dude - bad horse, but super driver
Race 5
#4 Detective - continues to improve, decent post for a change
#5 Hey Ray - a dry track will help his cause
#3 D T M - what I've seen of Mr Short I like
#1 Fortune King - continues to make money, just never wins
Race 6
#1 RU Lonesome Tonite - the switch to Kakaley is the tell, should be ready to beat these
#9 Perfect Western - on the comeback trail, should improve
#2 Look Who's Invited - even half lame he's better than most of these
#5 Allamerican Raider - don't understand the ML call, the horse has not been himself
Race 7 Best Bet
#9 Oneforthepresident - ends a long dry spell tonight
#3 Lucky And Free - easily last week, can make the jump
#2 C'mon Cha Cha Cha - also moving up off a nice win
#5 Race Track Cruiser - had mucho pace last week, not sure how good he really is
Race 8 Longshot Special
#7 Beach Escape - a proven winner in this class, should resume his winning ways
#4 Frosty Two Four - moves back up off a win for fun, caution is in order however
#5 French Attack - made it look easy last week, but then again he is a mudder
#2 Dreamie Affair - big test tonight, will have to show more speed to compete at this level
Race 9 Value Play
#1 BC Majesty - just a hunch, may not have showed it all in the qualifier
#2 Smok'n Coalburner - beaten favorite about due to break, beware
#5 Redzilla - moves to a positive post off a show finish
#9 Nico Mirabell - broke, then got back in the race, always a positive angle
Race 10
#3 Shady Time Gal - clearly the best if she minds her manners
#8 Winter Cruise - post an issue, but Lenny Rich to Stahl trumps the snowman (a Gisserism )
#1 Stand By Yourself - drops and (hopefully) gets a better track
#2 Astroflight - racing about as well as this one can
Race 11
#1 Aloha Hooray - impressive debut, may have even more in the tank
#2 Keystone Tristan - gets post relief and perhaps a better surface
#3 Eel - showed some speed in his qualifier, love Jimmy S driving trotters
#4 Colby D - always on the board these days
Race 12
#2 Aviator Bluestone - the post shift should be enough
#1 I've Got Life - moves up (sort of) off the nice win
#5 Allamerican Amigo - beaten favorite a familiar tune
#8 Thebigguyfromtown - what does he need to do to draw a post?
Race 13 Longshot Special Part Deux
#5 KB's On My Toes - he was sick alright, sick of the post draws
#3 Johnnyisajohnny - pretty sharp effort, post relief in this one
#2 Northville Albert - finally a post, should take advantage of it
#9 Chupp Don - stale date and hasn't won in this class for a long time
Good Luck
