#5 Star-Why - much improved for new barn, Kakaley taking over
#1 Kipling Avenue - "stuck" with Merriman after Kakaley chose off, just doesn't win anymore
#4 Bette Lavec - can hang around in this class with Wyatt driving

Race 2 Ugly Alert

#6 I Am Laag - the default choice in this ugly race
#2 Storm Front - second in this class last time she had a post
#1 Tucson Lace - her record is understandable considering who has been driving
#5 Park'em Out Wendy - just a guess

Race 3

#3 Nude N Naughty - exceptionally sharp, best post in a long while
#1 Cristal Daddy Girl - nice effort from the outside, need to see Charlie Brown win one
#4 Bt Connection - have to like the driver and barn change, hasn't raced at this level in a while
#9 Best Be Lucky - above her best class, but Merriman has driven her last two victories

Race 4

#6 Gadjet - big effort in her first start, looks the best here
#2 Sara's Lil Sis - third start back, should be rounding back into form
#9 Passing Lane Penny - sharp, more consideration with a better post
#5 Towner's Big Sadie - drops from the Open, beat similar three back

Race 5

#4 Ashley Cruiser - didn't fire last week, another chance with an improved post and dry track
#2 Shady Attack - has stepped it up since Matt has been driving
#1 Stormy Gray Sea - drops and draws well, Smith barn still very warm
#3 Redmeansgo - ultra consistent, hard to leave her out

Race 6

#7 Ilooklikevada - the best horse in the race, and Merriman wins 23% from the seven hole
#1 Tag Dancer's Filly - has the speed to win, but very inconsistent
#5 Fiesty Kindof Luv - finally broke through last week, not as fast as the first two
#2 Super Speedway - still improving, 1-39 not encouraging

Race 7

#4 Diana Court - if Greg Young were still calling, it would be "bookem Dano" all over again
#6 Village Corky - can't draw a post, but gets Kakaley and a super soft field
#8 Virtual Dream - takes the big drop, next week a winner
#5 Talk Of The Party - best of the rest even without a driver

Race 8 Value Play

#3 Village Catera - looking for a spot to give this one the call, this is it
#1 Illegally Blonde - Merriman likes this one for some reason, the post shift will help
#2 Red Hott Alert - Stahl's choice with the good draw
#4 Call Box - drops from the claimers, credible effort off the scratch

Race 9

#1 Newstop - big effort against better last week, should beat these handily
#4 Fantastic Fran - post relief, class relief, and good early speed to boot
#6 She's So - improving every race, post no help again
#9 Belle Beckley - big move last week, doesn't win enough to put her any higher

Race 10 Wide Open Affair

#1 Goldies Girl - luke warm call in a wide open race
#2 Rinestone Coddie - was a close second last time she was this far inside
#4 Polo Aub - cut the mile last week, hasn't been doing as well against the claimers
#7 Tequila - easy winner last week, post a big challenge tonight

Race 11

#4 Krissy K - drew off last week, in top form
#1 Shesa Partygirl - returns in much better form, could surprise
#9 Packet Fulla Stars - nice win from this spot a week ago, these are tougher
#6 Kosher Winner - like the driver switch, form a ?

Race 12

#1 Shady Time Gal - an ETE call, looked strong on Tuesday
#4 Wildfire Osborne - first time Lasix off a triple qualifier, respect any horse named Osborne
#5 Shelbys Munymaker - on the board last three, not sure what to make of her yet
#3 Doowrah Silver - has the speed to compete at this level, place money last time out

Race 13

#4 Positivereation N - everything points to this one tonight
#5 Gates Of Heaven - back on the gate for second try in this class
#6 Lobe's Player - no excuse last week, tougher assignment from out here
#2 Slick-As-Sleet - positive driver change for the class dropper

Race 14 Best bet

#9 Easy Operator - yikes, drops off a show finish
#1 Treasure Island - in very soft
#3 Winning Yankee - drops and gets Kakaley back
#5 Sweetie Peetie - nice effort with Dan driving last week, these are tougher
