Selections for Tuesday April 21. Trying to put a positive spin on tonight's card.
Race 1
#1 Deal Me Three - love pacers with Ruffstuff Baker bloodlines, his qualifier wasn't bad either
#9 Dali Hanover - probably the best here, but can't like him from this post, especially on a bad track
#5 Made For Cruising - has looked like a race horse his last two, closes well for this class
#8 Fueled N Waiting - always like the double qualifiers, respect for Winbak Farm
Race 2
#3 Blazen Pegasus - will he trot the mile is the only question
#2 I Will Come Over - seldom like 14yo's, but that was a nice closing effort, now Kakaley takes the reins
#6 Dublin Dollars - have to respect him, but he seldom wins from a negative post
#8 Mr Mime - hard to give the call from out here, but not much else to like
Race 3
#3 Swing Plane - locked in last week until it was too late
#1 Laag Ness Monster - always benefits from a decent driver, last won at this level
#9 That's Textbook - if the horses are no good, we need to handicap the drivers
#4 Ice Cream Stand - drops, I keep looking at the 4/04 line and wondering what he had for lunch
Race 4
#2 RU Lonesome Tonite - should have an easy time with these, regularly breaks down however
#6 Travel Bug N - doesn't mind the slop, and see that place finish three back? case closed
#9 Drawback - first time lasix for the claimer in a cheap condition, dangerous
#4 Magic Dart - might rate him higher if the track were dry
Race 5
#4 Actions By Chip - all the money will be on the #1, I think this one is just as good
#1 Aloha Hooray - couldn't get it done from here last week, no cinch again tonight
#7 Shelly Ross - back on the gate after a needed start, will be even better next week
#2 Ilooklikerudy - won some fair races last year, looking for more speed
Race 6 Best Bet
#6 KB's On My Toes - claimer in a cheap condition (do I sound like a broken record yet?)
#4 Tricky Tactics - drops to the level of his last win, can actually leave a little bit
#3 Harmony Oaks Tom - nice effort last week, a shadow of his former self
#2 Artic Blast - way over his head at Hoosier, fits much better with this group
Race 7
#3 Breeze On By N - sharp as any, and the best mudder of the group
#6 Eye Of The Dog - the one threat if Breezy's 13yo legs aren't up to three in a row
#1 Johnnyisajohnny - speaking of sharp, this one is, the rail doesn't really help his cause
#2 Chupp Don - couldn't do anything with a good trip last week, will be in the action early
Race 8
#3 Oneforthepresident - braved up a bit, should continue up the ladder
#2 Players Ball - really like this four year old, not sure what his upside is
#8 Go Again - best horse, worst post, if he finds a tuck at the quarter he could be dangerous
#6 French Attack - we know he likes the slop, not sure he can make the jump
Race 9 Longshot Special
#3 Xelerating - the algorithm said he's the best, and considering my record with trotters, let's go there
#6 Sweet Potatoe - d**n the algorithm, this is the horse I like, big effort against a sharp one
#1 Detective - last week was easy, the week before shows how good he really is
#4 Iliketherain - if he's true to his name, he could hit the board here
Race 10
#1 Allamerican Viper - was vapors against the 5's last week, back where he belongs
#9 Make Me Proudchico - has been bouncing around, looking for his class, this could be it
#2 Super Max N - Joey actually drives this one pretty well, can also make a living in this class
#3 C'mon Cha Cha Cha - crazy looking line last week, regular driver back
Race 11
#3 Blastaway Sahbra - has he ever been in this cheap?
#2 Three Good Fellows - better than what they paid for him, would like to see him win more
#5 Smok'n Coalburner - breaks are always a concern with this one
#4 Nico Mirabel - has been making money, just never wins, not sure he likes the slop very much
Race 12
#5 Coalford Admiral - finally the stars are aligned for this one
#3 Liftoff Bayama - all together now, "a claimer in a cheap condition".
#1 Inquisitive Me - the more i see of this one, the more I like, could have an upside
#9 Iconic Style - speaking of upside, here is a great unknown, the horse that is
Race 13 Ugly Alert
#5 L Dees Dr Norman - back to handicapping the drivers, since all the horses suck
#3 Red Heads Star - a driver upgrade for a horse that doesn't mind the weather
#1 El Personal Pace - has the rail against the softest of this class
#2 Bell's Courier - just a guess
Good Luck
