This is my first post on here... for as long as i can remember, I was told about Dave Palone being a silent owner on numerous horses in the same race. How true that is I don't know. I was told stories about drivers at Northfield getting fined and or suspended and or not being allowed to drive in races in which they had some affiliation with a trainer who had a horse in the race. IE. Sugg/A.Wright, Clabaugh/Koch, Cox/R.Allen or Root. I remember an instance from a handful of months back when the judges allowed Keith Kash Jr. to be a late last minute catch drive/driver change against DJ Millner(was anything ever done to someone with fines IE Kash or better yet the judges?), with Millner's horse wearing the Orange and Blue of KKJr. Now again, how is it, that a driver racing at Northfield can have horse(s) with one of the a fore mentioned and drive against him/his horses in races? Wouldn't that be a bigger conflict of interest, far surpassing Wright or Koch? Just curious.... www.eharness.com/listings/hip_hop_girl/index.shtml

Ok, now I'm curious did anything ever happen with the judges about the thing with Josh?

I will find out about the incident when Wyatt drove Fiestykindofluv and Josh was allowed to drive another (although I thought he was programmed then taken off.
If the driver is employeed by a trainer, or vice versa, he cannot drive against that trainer. But if the trainer is a conractor (for instance Lanny Merrima trains a horse Aaron owns and Jodi has trained for him in the past, he is not precluded from driving against the trainer.

So let me try to understand this a little better. As long as someone isn't having taxes taken out of their pay and not being told specifically when to work and the hours they have to work they can race against one another(a simplified definition of an independent contractor)?
Or would that be up to the discretion of the powers that be? And Giss, since I am assuming you are a intelligent as well somewhat rational person, how is that fair to the betting public?

Its fair the same way it was when Josh got off of Van Ashen, came into the paddock and said there was no we he was driving the horse, it was dead lame, he wouldn't drive the horse for he has a child and wasn't worth getting himself killed over $50.00. The horse was i think roughly 3/5, they put Wilbur Smith up and he was 2-4 wide the entire mile and finished up the track.
Just like Tom Hanks said in A League of Their Own: "There is no crying in baseball!" The judges can say about harness racing: "There is no fairness in harness racing!"

Is it fair to say Giss, that nothing was done by the lack of response to the afore mentioned with the judges?

Is it fair to say Giss, that nothing was done by the lack of response to the afore mentioned with the judges? I made the written request Friday--it usually takes them a few days to respond.

Eight days later and no response. Kind of like the requests for the cashback money from the wagering....right Giss?
