Any Chance?

Giss, the "experts" are saying not to expect slots until next May, at the earliest. Obviously, none of us know, at this juncture, if that projection is accurate.

My question is this: is there any chance that Northfield would consider increasing the purses NOW to start attracting better racing stock to placate those of us who are overdosing on NW800 and maiden trots?

No. We will do our best not to reduce purses between now and then, but with the purse pool where it is, that is the bext to be expected.

Especially with the lawsuits that are being filed which could delay things (or worst case, cancel them, although I doubt that strongly)
And my personal opinion is that we may be a bit sooner than May. But not a lot.
