Aug 5. Has the rail for Dean Beachy in a $7500 Amateur Race (Race 1). May make for interesting viewing.

Is this a Billings race? If he has the rail, all he has to do is maintain position and stay flat. If he can do 156 here, he can do 153 there, easy.

It's called the Hambeltonian Amateur race-- purseis $7500 and there is a second off-the-card division, but not sure if it is a Billings. I have been told that instead of a saddle pad, he will be wearign a For Sale sign ;D

So far, this late-bloomer has shown exceptional speed but hasn't had to demonstrate any "racing ability" here at Northfield, while racing in NWs conditoned trots. Is he handy enough to handle the "give and go", race off the trot, weave in traffic? Whether he can do those things (or not) might add value when they finally throw him in the Open trots.
