Musing out loud this morning: Carter brings MJ's Victory to Northfield and enters him in a 7 claimer after winning a 15 claimer at the Meadows earlier this month. Gets TT as a catch driver. Does anyone besides me this this is odd? Hmmmm, I wonder how many will key this horse in the pick4? Just wondering.

My insticts were correct (for once), the trotter was not up to being the 1-5 favorite the public thought of him. There has to be something wrong with the horse for the owners to put him in a 50% off sale. Larry Clabaugh has him how. It will be interesting to follow his career from here.

Major topic of conversation on the apron-- he appears to "go sound," but Carter likes to race them and race them a lot. It may be that with just 15 starts this year and (I think) 8 last year, he does not fit into the Carter model.
As to the loss, I thought it had more to do with being short from time off than anyhting else.
