Pony, can you tell us how this 5-year-old gelding found its way back to your barn? Wasn't he claimed from Scott for $32,500 or something like that? But he's been racing recently in 10-15K claimers. Are you going to continue training him or will you turn him over to Mark Deaton? Lots of questions for our new board member.
Congratulations on Badger Warrior last night.

Off a qualifier this horse raced very nice. I think Mark Deaton is dating Kim and that is the connection and why he trains horse for her. I read where you posted she was a former trainer and I did not think that was correct. She is training Depraved Hedonist. I think Scott bought this horse back. I heard someone at the track saying it was his horse. Who is listed as the owner?

Sloan is listed as the owner. I called Sloan a former trainer because I haven't seen her listed as a trainer on any horses in a long time, maybe since DH left. Deaton has been listed as the trainer on her other horses.
But Kim can correct any of this that is inaccurate.

I played a $2 parlay Badger Warrior to DH-- thought I was looking good, there. Oh well, gotta be happy with the other $20 to win and $5 double

DH was claimed from Scott when I was training him in December 2005. Once claimed he changed hands a few times. Scott and I always followed him on our vitual stables. Right before his last race in Chicago I called and offered to buy the horse and the owner, who wasn't haven't any luck with him was happy to sell him. At that time his value had greatly depreciated and Scott wanted a higher end horse, so I purchased him for myself.
Since I work an "almost" full time job, I cannot train ALL of the horses I own. I now only work with one or two at a time when I get off work. DH being one of them. Mark and his help work the rest of the them. Plus management told Mark and I that we cannot race against eachother, so I hung up my name as trainer shortly after that.

Thanks for the info Kim and good luck with DH. Your other horses seem to be racing pretty well. Keep us updated if you like.
