Believer:
In race 6 I would have had a big X through CI Cricket primarily due to driver and post position. However; had I wagered the race chances are that I would have had a dollar on the tri. My usual bet is a two by three by all trifecta. Usually at least once a night some bomb such as the Cricket will finish 3rd and make up for all those other wheel tri bets where the chalks run in the top spots. I liked the Ben Miller/Sugg rail angle and though My Claudette was second best. Thus they would have been in my top two positions with all horses in the show spot.
The problem I've had with this type tri wager the last several months is very few of my top race selections have come anywhere near the winners circle. Worst 90 day slump in real money wagering I can remember. I'm running out of excuses (lower quality of racing, weather, my lack of time, bad luck) and eventually will have to blame the man in the mirror for the bad handicapping.
Hey Believer, maybe another trip to Canada will be the slump buster I need though not sure my diminishing bankroll will make it till the first Saturday in May.
