Tuesday Night, March 16, 2010 Recap: On the eve of St. Patrick's Day, Jim O'Horseman traded the "wearing of the green" for the collecting of the green, as he scored a $10 superfecta in the fourteenth race last night for $3274 (10 x $327.40). Jim used #4 Leach as his key horse, an unlikely choice given its recent 0 for 46 win record, but still good enough to beat this bottom level NW600 field.
Earlier in the program, Cliff collected $190 for his $100 win wager on #8 My Sweet Lorelei in the fifth race and Kangaroox cashed a $5 exacta ticket on #5 Silky Sailor over #6 CN Loufly Loretta, good for $292 (2.5 x $116.80).
With his superfecta success, Jim O'Horseman vaults over Cliff for second place in the March handicapping contest and takes aim at Trackrat, who still holds a comfortable lead.
The weather for today's annual St. Patrick's Day parade here in Cleveland will be 52 and sunny. Enjoy the corned beef and cabbage, drink responsibly, drive safely and we'll see everyone back here on Friday for Fillies and Mares Night.
