I'm interested in hearing betting strategies for barns that are under suspicion. An example: Melody Gingery took over the Maletz horses when Jeff Maletz was under suspension. Now, Melody has a ruling against herself, under appeal, for Aminorex, a stimulant. If, as bettors, we assume the worst, that horses racing under the Maletz/Gingery tutelage WERE chemically enhanced, do we now assume that the same barns would be squeaky clean for a while= diminished competitiveness?
Knowing that a barn is under suspicion for [whatever], how do we, as handicappers, handle that knowledge in our betting strategies? Layoff that barn? Bet as usual?
Comments?

There can be many strategies - mine is simple. There are many races to bet - pass on anyone these trainers have one entered in.

Another question to ask - probably directed at Keith:
Should the general public be informed when a certain trainer is required to have is horse in detention barn? I think this information is invaluable and always wondered why it seems to be kept "quiet"?
When I find that a trainer has to have is horse in a 24 hour detention barn, I draw a big black "X" through all of his horses entered. Not as confident when a trainer is suspended since they easily transfer the horse to another trainer's name and it's business as usual.

I agree that this information should be included in the program. I will go to work on it.
