After seeing all those eye popping payouts and million dollar pools it's back to reality and harness racing at the home of the flying turns. Had a great Derby day at the track in Buffalo with the amazing Jimhorseman and the gang (Jim's friends really know their stuff) and it was great to meet Jay44224 and his wife who drove up to watch their horse race. I can't tell you in words what a great host Jim really was , along with all his friends too. Hopefully a trip to Northfield this summer can become a realty and i can meet a few more of the great members on this board!

Thank you for the undeserved but kind words. It was a hectic (Derby crowd) but enjoyable day despite the continuation of what seems like my year long gambling slump. Nice to see that Jay and yourself clicked instantly.
For those on the board who wonder, The Believer really does have a sharp Harness eye. Despite being at Buffalo for the first time in many a year he quickly diagnosed the Buffalo Raceway card and pointed things out that I pretended to have already seen but in actuality just didn't want to admit I missed as this is supposively my home track. Taylor also convinced me to throw in a couple of Northfield horses I initially dismissed (particularly a couple driven by Sam Schillaci Saturday night) to my benefit. Alas, the decent harness win I experienced Saturday night was not quite enough to overcome the T-Bred drumming I took during Derby Saturday afternoon.
We did talk about perhaps a Northfield summer trip. It would be nice; as Taylor mentioned, to meet even more of the board members. If dates work out I'm sure we will be posting that in advance though I wonder if our attendance would encourage or discourage Cleveland locals from being at Northfield that weekend.
