I will get info out early next week, but with BOTH faves breaking before the gate, I have a hunch what happened

the recall rule needs to be changed a bit again
the #7 horse wasn't even at the turn yet when the race went off

I'm sure The Giss's hunch will prove to be correct. I was at a betting machine when a friend yelled out to me that both the 2 and 7 (co-favorites) broke stride at the top of the stretch. I quickly punched out a $10 exacta box of 589. I missed the exacta but if I would have been a bit more quick witted and realized that just 5 horses were still trotting it would have been easy and relatively inexpensive to box those horses in an exacta or tri. After the race I boldly predicted the exacta would pay more than the tri and was almost correct. It would be surprising if it turned out there were not last moment gate tri boxes.

d**n that hurt..you could cleaned up on that race

unfortunatly i bet on the net and with the delay there really is no chance for a gate call
