Giss, as I mentioned in another thread, I have not been to Northfield in about six weeks. At that time, you guys were renovating the downstairs simulcast area and doing a great job, I might add.
However, I usually came to Northfield for the LIVE racing and sat in the part of the clubhouse upstairs where the betting carrels are in the restaurant. Northfield previously upgraded all of the tv sets in the simulcast areas, both up and down grandstand areas, but NEVER upgraded the tv sets in the restaurant or in the betting carrel area of the restaurant. Now, the downstairs has all new flat screen tvs and of six weeks ago, the restaurant still had those $65 tvs from 15 years ago.
I also noticed that while the restaurant has been rebadged as Lucky Lady's (or whatever), everything looks the same.
Has Northfield abandoned the Northfield patron altogether to cater exclusively to the simulcast bettor?

Has Northfield abandoned the Northfield patron altogether to cater exclusively to the simulcast bettor? There is a plan to replace ALL TV sets. Keep in mind that the clubhouse carrels are a few years newer than the grandstand area, so we remodeled the oldest area first. And the answer to your question is no, we have not abandoned the Northfield Live Patron. That is why Players Club wagers are still twice as valuable on Northfield as on simul and why Players Club members now get free admission on weekends among other things.
