Jimhorseman, where is DJ Milner? I don't see him in the Buffalo training standings. Also, where is Keith Kash Jr (Josh)?

Trackrat:
I just double checked the Buffalo Raceway website and it is true that DJ Milner is not listed in the trainer standings. My guess is that his omission is simply an error or oversight. Milner has been a regular with a large stable at Buffalo. He had 5 horses in Saturday the 26th with one winner and a horse when I was there Sunday afternoon. Milner has even began to drive a few of the horses he owns & trains. In addition to Buffalo Milner has has a smaller footprint at Northfield where he tends to have more entered on days that Buffalo does not run. I have not heard of Milner being in any kind of trouble at Buffalo though to be honest Sunday afternoon was the first time I was there in weeks and I didn't see any of the track management and "in the know" people I generally see when I am there on weekend nights.
As for Kash Jr: The last I heard; and this is probably year old information, he was suspended by the NY State racing authority for five years. I was told at the time that Kash Jr was caught tampering with a water bucket of a horse he was training that was in a detention barn. He did appeal his sentance but I believe; though can't say for sure that the full punishment term (5 years) was upheld. Virtually all of his Buffalo horses were transferred to the care of DJ Milner at the time. I'm not sure if Kash Jr's suspension carries over to other states but I have not seen him listed as a trainer or driver in the past year. Interesting that in the last couple of weeks his wife has been showing up as an owner on a few horses. She (and her mother) were listed as trainer on his stable while he was appealing his initial suspension. I do remember his mother-in-law; Victoria Campbell, was also suspended in an unrelated incident but do not know how long her sentance was. I have not seen Victoria Campbell listed as a trainer since she received her individual suspension last year.

Both Melinda and "Victoria" have owned horses for quite awhile, well predating Josh's suspension. Milner has nearly 500 starts at Northfeild, btw, and for some perspective, that is 200 more than John Perrin or Clair Umhlotz, who are 2nd and 3rd.
