Sorry guys, but the Trackrat is burned out when it comes to Northfield harness racing anymore. As Northfield racing has declined, so has my interest in it. Because of this lack of interest on my part, I'm going to take an open-ended break from running the monthly handicapping contest. Anyone else is free to step up and run the contest, if they would like to. Good luck!

I must say, i know where you are coming from Mr.Trackrat.Let me be the 1st to say "Thank You"for all of your time you have given us over the years. With the steady diet of n/w $600,n/w $200,it is hard to stay interested in Northfield Park racing. But Northfield is the only harness track i have bought a program to cap in 15 years. And in the years prior to that,i found that i made more money capping my home track, than the others combined. So it made sense for me. If i happen to show up on a day with no live racing,i bet the runners. And even then,i will only wager 1 or 2 tracks, and none of them are on the east coast. Guess we have to hope the slots get here in time to save the cappers from all bailing out.But it may be to late for that. Not just the horseman leaving the track, cappers leaving to.May be nothing to save. Just something else to call "the good ole days" Good luck Mr.Trackrat, and hope you get back to Northfield soon.

Trackrat
I have not participated in the monthy handicapping contests but I always mark down the picks and watch at the track how everyone is doing. Truth be told I have made a few bucks from following the selections some of you "pros" have made.
I really hated to see you leave the position and contest but I certainly understand your views. I just hope this isn't the end of this forum.
Thanks for your dedication in running the contest and I for one will miss you greatly.
