What's the protocol and thought process behind the morning line?
I thought some reasonable amount of "liklihood" was supposed to be attempted.
For Friday night it seems like a formula is being followed where there is a 5-2, 7-2, 4-1, 9-2 assigned in every race. It doesn't seem like any real thought was put into those odds. Just assignments.
I understand they don't really mean squat in parimutual pool betting, but it seems kind of daft to do this - to me.
I've seen 7-5, 4-5 etc. used, just wonder what the thought process really is on it.
