was just looking at the fines and suspensions on the usta website.....what in the world did this trainer do to warrant 5 years of suspension and fines. it doesn't elaborate . some one must know something... please post

Don't know what Dean Beachy did but he apparently did it five times. Also saw that Fred Winstead has dropped his appeals and he ends up with two 6-month suspensions. Fred's stable was the hottest stable at Northfield this year and since Ryan Allen took over as trainer, it doesn't seem like too much was lost in the transition. Shelby's Muneymaker is still making money (but won't if she has to race the entire mile on the outside).

Dean Beachy was found to have fraudulently altered Coggins Tests on several horses.
