Per the topic of Frank and Charlie being mentioned in another link who does everyone rate in order as the top ten regular drivers at Northfield. With at least 50 drives this year... IMO:
1. Noble 2. Charlino 3. Merriman (Aaron not Lanny) 4. Deaton 5. Swartz 6. Sugg 7. Koch 8. Stahl 9. Wyatt 10. Robin 10a. Headworth
Curious what other people think.

I might quibble on the order a bit, but I would pretty much agree. Stahl a bit higher, Deaton a bit lower. JD over Robin, maybe. It's interesting, but Sam Schillaci is in the top 10 for UDRS and the top 20 for wins, despite having only 100 drives or so. A 15% win rate puts him even with Stahl and Swartz and ahead of Wyatt, Sugg and Robin.

My top ten:
1) Noble 2) Charlino 3) Arod 4) Swartz 5) Deaton 6) Stahl 7) Sugg 8) Koch 9) Wyatt 10) Robin 11) Daren Harvey
Observations: 1) Charlino and Merriman are a virtual tie 2) Deaton is a streaky driver; doesn't seem to do too well when he drops in for a weekend but when he settles in for the winter, he seems to do better 3) Koch and Sugg seem to do better on trotters than pacers 4) Robin lights up the toteboard every now and then with surprising performances from Buck Hollar's stable 5) Daren Harvey, with a little more seasoning (and more of Billy Knipper's horses) will vault up the list by at least five positions in the next year

Ok lets go this way instead...my list of eleven, plus harvey as well as schiallaci and JD. Who of the other drivers would you want your own horse.
My top 5:
1. Beau Blevins 2. Frank Harris 3. Charlie Smith 4. Andy Shetler 5. Chris Hershberger
And my all time favorite catch driver when i was racing...Tony Peregrin!
Keith Kash Jr. Does not make my list...

Heck, if Andy Shetler was here full time, I would put him just under Stahl and ahead of Sugg. But he does better with horses that he also trains.

An example of my comment about Robin Miller and Calvin Hollar lighting up the board every now and then. From Friday night, September 30, 2011 (last night):

Trackrat:
Great ride by Robin. The inside was the only place to be with the heavy rain. Sunrise Sunset was able to dive into the rail coming to the 3rd quarter and come up the passing lane for the win. Would have made for a nice pick three if only Cambest Treasure had held on in the 8th. Aaarrgghhh.
