Giss
What money do the drivers get. Is it a percentage or a fixed rate. What is the payoff ratio of the price money. How many places are paid? What is the normal trainer cut. Are these negotiated payoffs and could the better drivers ask for bigger cuts?

gtapp here is a website that may answer your questions www.harnessdriver.com/files/newowner.pdfWhen i raced horses back in the eighties ,driver got 5% for the win , the same for the trainer, the training fee was negotiated depending trainer and lots of other factors such as stabled at the track or othera training center .... The good A-track horses cost $1500 a month to train plus , plus plus...shoeing , equipment you name it. B- track horse trainers charged less $800-$1000.......i personally cut a deal 50- 50 with the trainer , never made any money on about 5 0r 6 horses but loved every minute....jogging , training a mile , the many win pictures and so much more purse structures may have changed to provide gas money to all race participants but it was 50% to winner , 25% to second , 12% to third , 8% to 4th and 5% went to the fifth place finisher
