I noticed that tonight's fourth race is in memory of Miss Cash In Thee. I must have missed whatever happened to the horse. I remember her racing a couple weeks ago and finishing third. Can someone please clue me in as to her fate. Thanks.

Cliff:
Miss Cash N Thee ran in the 4th race last friday night (Dec 1st). Ryan Stahl took her right to the top and led into the 3/8 pole when it looked like Stahl lost control. The horse ran inside the cones and was almost on the infield approaching the half when she went down. Stahl was thrown from the horse. Didn't see what happpened after though we can imagine the worst. Stahl drove a race or two after but then was scratched from the rest of his rides. Someone on site may have more details.

Oh yes, now I remember the race...duh. I thought it was just a case of broken equipment, it looked like he couldn't steer her. I didn't see the horse go down. Thanks for jogging my memory.

It was a case of broken equipment that he couldn't steer her, her line broke. Unfortunately, due to her injuries she was put down. If I am not mistaken I believe she broke her leg in the fall.
My condolences go out to Dale Edwards on the loss of his horse, and a reminder that these animals are flesh and blood not machines and the drivers, no matter what you think of them are putting their lives on the line every time they get behind a horse.

Thank you for clearing that up for me, Joani. It's always sad when we lose a horse that way.
