Believe(r) it or not (no pun intended....well, maybe a little bit intended) this is probably the first friday I did not handicap the Northfield card in months. Due to a few factors - late work schedule today covering a co-workers vacation, friday weddings the next couple of weeks, daugthers birthday last friday of the month - I will be taking my usual Fridays off the remainder of August. Of course with Northfields horrible decline along with my inability to make money at that track I am almost sadly indifferent to missing wagering time there. I looked at your post today on the archived board and it made me long for the good old days of 5-7 years ago when Northfield had the best half mile racing in the country. Now I don't think they have the best racing in the state of Ohio. I would love if our simulcast facilities began taking Scioto's action. Big fields with good horseman trying for large purses. Reminds me again of those good old days.
